For some patients, Dysport gives faster results than Botox, though this can definitely vary from person to person. You may see results right away with both, but full results for Botox usually take about 3 to 5 days to appear while Dysport may only take 1 to 2 days.
Botox Cosmetic®️ has been around longer
Some people feel more comfortable with Botox because it’s more well known and has been around the industry for a lot longer. In fact, Botox has been FDA approved since 2002. Keep in mind that both Dysport and Botox Cosmetic®️ use botulinum toxin, which has been known for over a century and used for medical purposes for over 50 years.
Botox Cosmetic®️ dilution is different from Dysport
The dilution formula for Botox differs from Dysport, and the number of dosage units will differ as well. Botox tends to stay closer to the injection site, so if you need more than one area treated, you’ll need more injections closer together.
