About Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)
Nose Job in Southlake
Nose reshaping or a “nose job” – rhinoplasty – can be performed to improve the appearance of the nose as a result of birth defects, injury, or disease.
Rhinoplasty in Southlake is intended to produce a more attractive nasal shape and/or a nose that is in better proportion to other facial features.
Rhinoplasty Overview
Procedure Time:
1-3 hours under general anesthesia
What it Treats:
Nose size in relation to facial balance
Nose width at the bridge or in the size and position of the nostrils
Nose profile with visible humps or depressions on the bridge
Nasal tip that is enlarged or bulbous, drooping, upturned or hooked
Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned
Nasal asymmetry
Deviated septum
Anesthesia:
The procedure is done under general anesthesia.
Does it Hurt?
There is typically not a great deal of pain with a nose job in Southlake, but most patients experience swelling and bruising for 1-2 weeks. A splint and/or packing may be placed inside your nose and a splint or bandages placed on the outside to support and protect the new structures during initial healing.
Recovery Time
While initial swelling subsides within a few weeks, it may take up to a year for your new nasal contour to fully refine and for you to see the full results of your nose job in Southlake. During this time, you may notice gradual changes in the appearance of your nose as it refines to a more permanent outcome.
