How Is Motiva Preservé Breast Augmentation Different?
During Preservé, a small incision is made in the fold beneath the breast. Specialized Motiva instruments gently separate and expand the tissue to form an implant pocket. The implant is then inserted using a no-touch technique.
This method is designed to limit disruption to natural breast tissue and the chest muscles while reducing the risk of changes to nipple sensation. Other possible benefits include a smaller incision, less surgical trauma, and less discomfort during early recovery. The Ergonomix implant is made to move naturally, appearing rounder when you’re lying down and more teardrop-shaped when you’re standing.
What Happens During Traditional Breast Augmentation?
Traditional breast augmentation can involve placing an implant above or beneath the chest muscle. Creating the pocket may require more tissue dissection than Preservé.
These distinctions don’t make conventional surgery an inferior choice. It may provide additional options when you want a larger size change, need a particular implant position, or require a technique that falls outside the Preservé system.
How Do Recovery and Results Compare?
Because Preservé limits tissue disruption, you may experience a shorter or more comfortable initial healing period. Traditional augmentation may cause greater tightness or soreness, particularly when an implant is placed beneath the muscle.
Recovery isn’t determined by the procedure type alone. Implant size, placement, your anatomy, and whether you have another surgery at the same time can all affect how you feel. Your final shape will become clearer as swelling decreases, the tissues relax, and the implants settle within their pockets.
