The Procedure
On the day of the procedure, we’ll provide general anesthesia and get to work. The specifics of rhinoplasty in Dallas can depend on the individual, but for a closed rhinoplasty, we’ll make two small incisions in the nostrils to gain access to the necessary bone and cartilage.
Your surgeon will explain the procedure with you and discuss what type of rhinoplasty you will need to achieve your desired outcome.
We may shave down bone and cartilage to give your nose the shape you desire. Once the procedure is complete, we’ll use dissolvable stitches to close the incisions.
Rhinoplasty surgery is technique sensitive and the results depend on the expertise and experience of the surgeon. The surgeon must also truly understand the anatomy of the nose and face in order to make sure that your facial proportions are correct. Rhinoplasty surgery takes about 2-3 hours depending on the amount of correction or enhancement needed.
So… does it hurt?
This is one of our more common questions, and we totally understand! No one wants to subject themselves to intense discomfort or irritation. But good news! Thanks to our general anesthesia, you shouldn’t feel anything during the procedure.
You’ll be asleep throughout the procedure, and once you wake up again, the surgery will be complete. We want the process to be as simple and stress-free as possible. You won’t have to suffer for your perfect nose.
The Aftermath
Though you likely won’t be in a great deal of pain following rhinoplasty in Dallas, you will notice bruising and swelling which may last up to several weeks. Don’t panic! This is a routine aspect of the procedure, and you will notice a decrease in swelling every day up to several months.
We may also place a splint inside your nose to maintain its structure immediately after surgery for a few days.
How long until my nose is fully healed?
Your nose will take some time to completely heal. The swelling will subside within a few weeks, but you may notice gradual changes for up to a year. Once that year is over, however, the changes to your nose will be permanent. You won’t need to schedule any additional appointments!

The Liquid Rhinoplasty Procedure
On the day of your liquid rhinoplasty, we will numb the treatment area and inject the filler into specific, strategic areas to give the nose more volume. From there, the provider will then sculpt the filler to refine the nose’s shape.
This method is effective for those looking for minor changes. Liquid rhinoplasty can help smooth out bumps or irregularities, correct minor asymmetry, add volume and height to the bridge of the nose, or lift the nasal tip. It will not fix large-scale structural adjustments or breathing problems.
