Unless you’re looking in a mirror, you probably don’t spend much time staring at your own nose. You can’t even see it unless you really make an effort! But your nose is one of the most prominent features of your face, and people all around you—family, friends, coworkers, and strangers—are constantly getting a look.

So when your nose isn’t absolutely perfect, you might want to make a change. There are plenty of reasons you might be interested in rhinoplasty in Dallas, but whatever your motivation may be, we at Southlake Plastic Surgery have the methods and techniques required to transform your nose.

Plastic Surgery: Yay or Nay?

Our society tends to stick its nose up (no pun intended) at plastic surgery. Although many people—from major celebrities to the average employee at the grocery store—receive plastic surgery, there seems to be a stigma surrounding aesthetic procedures. But there’s nothing to be ashamed of, no matter your age!

Even some of our younger patients have seen substantial results thanks to rhinoplasty in Dallas.

A rhinoplasty can help improve your breathing by increasing airflow, although many people simply want to change the appearance of their nose. That’s fine too! Life is too short to walk around feeling unhappy about the way you look.

There’s no reason to feel embarrassed about a legitimate aesthetic treatment, and we’ll do our best to ensure that the procedure is as relaxing and comfortable as possible.

Southlake’s Story

We were founded by the incomparable Dr. Mark E. Mason. Dr. Mason is highly trained, and he knows all about the value of quality cosmetic care. Dr Matt Novak has joined Dr. Mason and Dr. Dinah Wan to round out the team of experienced surgeons. Dr. Novak brings his experience with the most up to date techniques in all areas of aesthetic surgery.

Southlake Plastic Surgery is Dr. Mason’s dream clinic, and it’s getting better all the time. He’s worked to curate a comprehensive list of surgical and nonsurgical treatment options that can address any issues his patients might be struggling with.

Southlake’s People

Dr. Mason knew that his clinic would be nothing without an experienced, capable team by his side. So he wanted to find a group of like-minded professionals who shared his passion for top-quality plastic surgery. From our doctors to our front office coordinators, we only hire the best of the best.

Dr. Mason, Dr. Novak, Dr. Wan, and the entire team work with patient satisfaction in mind. We understand that aesthetic treatment can be a sensitive subject, but we want you to feel as comfortable as possible when you’re under our team’s care. We speak plainly because we believe that the best patient-practitioner relationships come with transparency and honesty.

Why You Should Consider Rhinoplasty

Some people might balk at the idea of rhinoplasty in Dallas. It seems like a big step! You might be flashing back to memories of celebrity magazines that read, “You won’t believe which movie star got a nose job!” But it’s not as big of a deal as you might think.

Nose jobs are incredibly common; almost a quarter of a million are performed each year. That’s hardly newsworthy! But why should you consider rhinoplasty?

Breathing Troubles?

Do you find yourself with a perpetually stuffy nose? Maybe you’re what some might unkindly refer to as a “mouth breather.” That’s no fun, and it’s not your fault! Some people are born with an unfortunate nose structure, one that impedes quality airflow. As a result, you might find it easier to breathe through your mouth. You might not even realize you’re doing it!

But a rhinoplasty can change all of that. It will restructure your nose so that you can breathe effectively through your nostrils. Once the surgery is complete, you might find that you’re breathing easier, maybe for the first time in your life!

Look Your Best

Your nose might not be perfect. We think all of our patients are beautiful, but you may run into a physical insecurity that can’t be fixed with makeup or lighting. Maybe you think your nose is too big, or maybe your nostrils aren’t quite as symmetrical as you’d like.

We don’t want you to feel pressured to hide your nose every time you get a picture taken. Insecurities can take their toll, but you don’t have to settle. Thanks to a rhinoplasty in Dallas, you can have a say in the way you look.

A simple procedure could be your route to newfound confidence. Our treatment can address many physical concerns, and you can leave our clinic with a nose that you’re proud to show off.

The Rhinoplasty Process

Once you’ve decided you’re ready for your own rhinoplasty treatment in Dallas, what’s your next step? This isn’t a simple walk-in procedure, after all.

Consultation

The first step to any successful procedure is the consultation. This might seem like a small part of what we do, but it’s an important one.

For instance, you might be interested in rhinoplasty in Dallas for breathing improvement. You like how your nose looks, and you’re not interested in changing that—you just want to breathe easier. But it’s possible that a rhinoplasty won’t be able to help you.

Some people might think that rhinoplasty could lessen the intensity of their snoring, but some studies show that rhinoplasty has no effect on the severity of a person’s snoring. However, if you have structural issues inside your nose like a deviated septum, you will definitely notice an improvement in your breathing and snoring.

If we don’t think a rhinoplasty will be beneficial for your particular condition, we’ll let you know! We’re not interested in taking your money if we can’t assist you. Our primary goal is to help people feel their best. And if we have an alternate treatment that will work better for your condition, we’ll be sure to recommend it.

Virtual Consultation

You may be unsure if one of our treatments can help you. If that’s the case, you don’t have to commit to an appointment; you can complete a consultation on our website. Fill out a quick form, and we’ll get to work assessing your symptoms.

From there, we can let you know which of our treatments will work to address your concerns. It can be difficult to commit to a procedure like this without all of the necessary information, so we do our best to ensure that you have all the information you could ever need. From there, we can get started on scheduling your treatment!

The Procedure

On the day of the procedure, we’ll provide general anesthesia and get to work. The specifics of rhinoplasty in Dallas can depend on the individual, but for a closed rhinoplasty, we’ll make two small incisions in the nostrils to gain access to the necessary bone and cartilage.

Your surgeon will explain the procedure with you and discuss what type of rhinoplasty you will need to achieve your desired outcome.

We may shave down bone and cartilage to give your nose the shape you desire. Once the procedure is complete, we’ll use dissolvable stitches to close the incisions.

Rhinoplasty surgery is technique sensitive and the results depend on the expertise and experience of the surgeon. The surgeon must also truly understand the anatomy of the nose and face in order to make sure that your facial  proportions are correct. Rhinoplasty surgery takes about 2-3 hours depending on the amount of correction or enhancement needed.

So… does it hurt?

This is one of our more common questions, and we totally understand! No one wants to subject themselves to intense discomfort or irritation. But good news! Thanks to our general anesthesia, you shouldn’t feel anything during the procedure.

You’ll be asleep throughout the procedure, and once you wake up again, the surgery will be complete. We want the process to be as simple and stress-free as possible. You won’t have to suffer for your perfect nose.

The Aftermath

Though you likely won’t be in a great deal of pain following rhinoplasty in Dallas, you will notice bruising and swelling which may last up to several weeks. Don’t panic! This is a routine aspect of the procedure, and you will notice a decrease in swelling every day up to several months.

We may also place a splint inside your nose to maintain its structure immediately after surgery for a few days.

How long until my nose is fully healed?

Your nose will take some time to completely heal. The swelling will subside within a few weeks, but you may notice gradual changes for up to a year. Once that year is over, however, the changes to your nose will be permanent. You won’t need to schedule any additional appointments!

Non Surgical Rhinoplasty

Another new option is our nonsurgical rhinoplasty.

We know what you’re thinking: “How can you possibly complete a rhinoplasty without surgery?” Well, thanks to a new technique, we can inject the nose with a Hyaluronic Acid (HA) filler, much like those found in our jawline filler treatments. This injectable can fill out the nose and give you the definition you’re looking for.

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty is a new technique; in fact, our very own Dr. Matthew Novak has written his own paper on the benefits of the new procedure.

Dr Matt Novak, the expert in liquid rhinoplasty in dallas

Aside from Dr. Novak, our Certified Nurse Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, Lindsay Van Meter, RN, BSN, CANS, is qualified to complete this procedure as well.

Lindsay’s certification means that she is only one of 381 aesthetic nurse specialists in the country who has completed the rigorous certification process. This includes continuous continuing education, training, and an emphasis on patient safety.

The Liquid Rhinoplasty Procedure

On the day of your liquid rhinoplasty, we will numb the treatment area and inject the filler into specific, strategic areas to give the nose more volume. From there, the provider will then sculpt the filler to refine the nose’s shape.

This method is effective for those looking for minor changes. Liquid rhinoplasty can help  smooth out bumps or irregularities, correct minor asymmetry, add volume and height to the bridge of the nose, or lift the nasal tip. It will not fix large-scale structural adjustments or breathing problems.

Liquid rhinoplasty is not a permanent solution, but it may last up to two years. For best results, however, we recommend annually or biannually maintenance injections.

The cost of a liquid rhinoplasty will vary depending on the type and amount of filler used (the typical range is $600-$2,000).
