Feel Confident Thanks to Breast Augmentation in Dallas

Southlake Plastic Surgery

It’s not always easy to feel comfortable in your own skin. Everyone has some expectation of how they believe their body should look, even if those expectations don’t always match up with reality.

Fortunately, in the modern age, medical technology means you don’t have to live with a body that you’re unhappy with. You don’t have to ignore your insecurities—you can tackle them head-on.

At Southlake Plastic Surgery, we have aesthetic options for people hoping to augment their bodies for the better. And breast augmentation continues to be a popular treatment for many of our patients. So take action and feel confident with breast augmentation in Dallas.

Southlake Plastic Surgery

We’re proud to be a part of the plastic surgery community. We do what we do because we love seeing people move past their insecurities. Everyone has something they want to change about themselves, and we want to help you make those changes.

Southlake was started by Dr. Mark E. Mason, MD. Dr. Mason founded Southlake because he felt that the people of the Dallas area needed a plastic surgery clinic staffed by professionals who care.

Plastic surgery can be a sensitive field, so you want practitioners who listen and understand you. We’ll never recommend a service you don’t need.

A plastic surgery center is only as good as the clinic itself. Many people hesitate to visit the doctor’s office because of the negative memories they associate with urgent care centers and hospitals.

But Southlake Plastic Surgery doesn’t feel like a cold, stale doctor’s office. Instead, it feels more like a luxury spa.

You can feel relaxed while we prep you for breast augmentation in Dallas. We have the technology and treatments necessary to help you treat most any insecurity or aesthetic condition.

We’d urge you to be open and honest with us about what you’re looking for so we can provide the best care possible.

Why Receive a Breast Augmentation

During the initial consultation, some of our patients feel hesitant about scheduling a breast augmentation. But we don’t want anyone to feel unsure or insecure about the process.

We also work with mothers who want their breasts to appear more symmetrical after pregnancy. Regardless of the reason you want breast augmentation, we’ll help you get the results you’re looking for.

A Common Misconception

A common misconception that occurs during our consultations for breast augmentation in Dallas is that this surgery is only for younger women.

We often meet older women who are interested in breast augmentation but are still unsure about how they will feel or if they will look unnatural. But we want to make one thing absolutely clear—everyone deserves to feel excited about the way they look.

If your number one insecurity is the size of your breasts, we think you should be able to shed that insecurity, no matter who you are. So never feel embarrassed or ashamed while you’re meeting with us. We’re not here to judge, we’re here to help.

The Consultation

The first part of scheduling any treatment with our team at Southlake is the initial consultation. The initial consultation is a great way to ensure that you’re scheduling the right procedure to treat your specific aesthetic problem.

When you meet with us for the consultation, we’ll sit you down and ask you questions about what you’re looking for. Be sure to answer these questions to the best of your ability. We’ll also complete a short physical exam of the breasts.

This will help us form our own opinion about your condition. Once this process is completed, we can schedule your breast augmentation as soon as possible.

What It Treats

Now, we can go over precisely what a breast augmentation treats. This may seem obvious: a breast augmentation helps you increase the size of your bust! And while this is certainly true, that’s not all a breast augmentation in Dallas can help with.

We might also schedule this procedure if you’re looking to keep your breasts from sagging. This treatment can help your breasts seem perkier and more firm. It can also help if your breasts appear unsymmetrical. Breast augmentation will allow your bust to look more even.

To put it simply, breast augmentation in Dallas allows you to have the breasts you’ve always wanted.

A Trained Team

Anytime you’re scheduling a surgery, you want to ensure that you have the right team behind you.

At Southlake, we only hire the best of the best. In addition to our founder, Dr. Mark E. Mason, we also have a team of highly trained doctors with years of practical, in-person experience.

Our doctors, Dinah Wan, MD, and Matthew Novak, MD, are passionate about the work they do to enhance the appearance of our patients. Our other team members, including nurses and office coordinators, are also proud to do what they do.

It isn’t always an easy job, but it’s always rewarding.

Preparation

We’ll be sure to tell you everything you can do to prepare for your breast augmentation in Dallas during your initial consultation. The preparation process may vary from patient to patient, depending on what kind of results you’re hoping to see.

All of our patients are different, and we’re entirely aware of this. We don’t want to treat you as just another patient; we want to treat you with a personal touch.

No patient is more important than another. It takes a lot of trust to allow someone to augment your body, and we always do our best to reward that trust with open communication and personalized treatment plans.

The Procedure

On the day of your procedure, we’ll go over the treatment process again and allow you to ask any final questions you may have before we get started. Then, we’ll take you into the treatment room and get started.

As breast augmentation is an invasive surgery, we’ll put you under general anesthesia. You’ll be asleep for the entire process.

Additionally, we will use pens to mark the treatment area, so we can be sure that the treatment is as precise as possible. Now, the details of the treatment may change slightly from patient to patient, but we can give you a basic idea of what the treatment will look like.

The actual treatment itself is simple, at least in theory. Once you’re rendered unconscious by the general anesthesia, the doctor will make an incision in the crease of the breast, so as to not make the wound obvious when it heals.

From there, they will insert the implants behind the skin of the breast. Adjustments may be made during the surgery to ensure that the breasts have the desired volume and symmetry. Next, the surgeons will suture up any incisions and bandage them.

Saline vs. Silicone

There are countless variables that may affect the results of your breast augmentation in Dallas, including the material of the implants themselves. We offer two kinds of implants: saline and silicone implants.

The saline implant is inserted into the breast empty. It looks almost like an empty plastic bag. But once inside the breast, the surgeon will fill it with saline until it reaches the desired shape.

The silicone implants are inserted into the breasts whole, with no need to manually fill them. Ask your doctor which of these implants they recommend for your specific breast augmentation procedure.

There are many different sizes, shapes, and projections of breast implants now for women of all different shapes. Your surgeon will discuss what type will look best for your chest width and what is proportional to your body. You will be sized for the way you want to look in the end.

Recovery

The recovery process following breast augmentation in Dallas is a very important step. You want to ensure that you’re taking every precaution to remain safe following one of our procedures.

It might seem like an inconvenience, but ignoring the post-op recovery instructions may result in complications. This is a legitimate medical procedure, and it’s always a good idea to keep that in mind.

First, you’ll want to avoid any unnecessary exercise or exertion. We often meet clients who love to work out and want to get back to it as soon as possible. And while there’s nothing quite like the feeling of a great workout, we’ll ask you to hold off for a bit.

It may take you six weeks to get back to the same condition you were in before the surgery, and as long as six months before your healing is complete. You may also experience some pain following your breast augmentation in Dallas.

Some of our patients report minimal discomfort, but we usually advise patients that they may need pain medication for the two or three days immediately following surgery. Everyone is different, so be sure to tell your doctor exactly how you’re feeling after the operation is complete.

For several months after surgery, you will feel twinges of pain—this is caused by the nerves waking up. This can continue for weeks or months but it shouldn’t last long. If you have any severe pain, you need to notify your surgeon.

Breast Lift

While a breast augmentation in Dallas can treat sagging breasts, you shouldn’t schedule breast augmentation if this is your primary goal.

If you’re happy with the size and proportions of your bust, and you just want to minimize loose skin and sagging, we recommend a breast lift. This treatment can help tighten skin in the breasts.

Like the breast augmentation procedure, this surgery is completed while the patient is under general anesthesia. The recovery periods are also comparable—you can expect to wait six weeks for a return to all of your normal activities and six months for full healing.

Breast Reduction

Of course, not everyone is looking to increase the size of their bust. We see plenty of patients who are looking to reduce the size of their breasts for one reason or another.

After pregnancy, many postpartum women find that they have gained weight in their breasts, causing discomfort.

Mommy Makeover

A change in breast size isn’t the only physical result of pregnancy. Another common bodily response to pregnancy is swelling in the stomach and stomach muscle separation, as well as weight gain in the hips and thighs.

If you were looking to give your body a complete visual overhaul, you could consider a mommy makeover. The mommy makeover is a combination surgery, which, as the name implies, is a combination of multiple surgeries in one convenient session.

You can schedule a breast augmentation and/or breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction all at the same time. Thanks to our mommy makeovers, you can hit the reset button on your postpartum figure.

Results Gallery

It’s important to our team at Southlake that we remain honest about the results of our procedures.

We don’t have anything to hide—we’re proud of the results that come from breast augmentation in Dallas, and we think you’ll be impressed with the results as well. We wanted it to be easier than ever to see surgical results for yourself, which is why we created a results gallery.

This results gallery allows patients to see before and after photos for several of our different treatments and surgeries. You can take a look and get an idea of what to expect after your breast augmentation.
