What to expect from the procedure

Step 1. The consultation

Like any of our aesthetic or surgical procedures, we begin with a consultation to discuss your unique aesthetic concerns and your desired results. You will meet with one of our highly skilled and passionate team members, who will determine if you are a candidate for the procedure. 

Step 2. Mark and measure

Your CoolSculpting specialist will explain our CoolSculpting applicators and measure your treatment areas to determine which applicator is best for you. The provider will mark the areas in preparation for the treatment.

Step 3. Place the gel sheet

We use a gel sheet over the treatment areas to protect your skin. Once the gel sheet is placed, we’ll apply the CoolSculpting applicators. 

Step 4. Wait 35 to 75 minutes

The treatment typically takes anywhere from 35 to 75 minutes, during which the applicator will use gentle suction to draw your fat tissue into the cooling cups. During your procedure you are welcome to watch TV, listen to music, or read! 

Step 5. Massage the frozen fat

Once the treatment is complete, we will remove the applicator cup and gently massage the hardened tissue.

Step 6. The body removes the fat 

Over the course of several weeks your body will naturally identify the frozen cells as dead and remove them from the body via the liver. Depending upon what you and your clinician have discussed, we may perform touch up treatments in the weeks following your initial procedure.
